FES is an entity within MYER that provides a range of innovative educational services.

The entire workforce of the FES Childcare Centres have just attended their first of the bi-annual seminars, centred around the continued professional development of the staff. Titled ‘𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 – 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡’, the seminar focused on the ability of the people taking care of the child to be resilient, creative, and in good health, as conducive to the child’s own physical and mental well-being.

Stemming from the title, the presentations focused on the ability of the staff members to be resilient and creative in their roles, and also how to identify and understand the conditions that shape one’s life as a way to cater for each child’s needs. The three sessions were:
• 'Resilience' by Ms Nicole Bonello, FES Programme Coordinator (Inclusion).
• 'Creativity in Early Childhood Education' by guest speaker Ms Mildred Bonanno Atanasio (ECEC Educator).
• 'Social Determinants of Health' by guest- speakers Ms Lara Muscat, Ms Cynthia Mallia & Ms Meleane Heimoana Saliba from the Social Determinants of Health Unit within the Department for Health Regulation.
