The Foundation for Educational Services (FES)Β is aΒ public entity within theΒ Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation.Β It works concurrently with the Education Directorates to provide a range of innovative educational initiatives to meet the needs of the community. The FES is committed to ensuring that all service users are supported through informal educational initiatives. It strives to offer quality educational services through structured contemporary programmes, financial sustainability and ethical behaviour. Together we provide a safe environment and an enrichingΒ experience to our learners, their families and allΒ stakeholders.

Services offered by the FES

Childcare Centres

The Foundation currently operates twelve childcare centres across Malta. These provide care to children aged between three months and three years. All FES-run childcare centres are registered with the Department of Quality Standards in Education and follow the National Standards for Child Day Care Facilities (2006)

klabb 3-16

Klabb 3-16 is a national programme catering for learners after school hours. It is an after school service which runs between school dismissal time and 18:00 hours, subject to demand. The service provided by Klabb 3-16, is also extended to offer service users an educational experience during school holidays.

in 2023, Skolasajf ran from Monday to Friday, between 12th July and 11th August 2023, and from 21st August till 7th September 2023. The theme chosen for 2023 is β€˜Peace by Piece’. This slogan urges people to do their part, no matter how small, as all the individual β€˜β€™pieces of peace’’ will build the peace that is so needed by everyone.

All personal information which the Foundation for Educational Services (FES) holds is protected by the Data Protection Act, Chapter 586 of the Laws of Malta.

The FES Data Protection Policy out, in writing, the manner in which personal data relating to staff, students and other individuals such as parents, guardians and custodians, are kept, the retention period, and how the relative is protected.
