The Foundation for Educational Services (FES) is a public entity within the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation. It works concurrently with the Education Directorates to provide a range of innovative educational initiatives to meet the needs of the community. The FES is committed to ensuring that all service users are supported through informal educational initiatives. It strives to offer quality educational services through structured contemporary programmes, financial sustainability and ethical behaviour. Together we provide a safe environment and an enriching experience to our learners, their families and all stakeholders.
FES is an entity within MYER that provides a range of innovative educational services.
Students attending 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐛 𝟑-𝟏𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐙𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐫 𝐁 are currently immersing themselves in an exciting textiles extracurricular project, generously sponsored by 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐜.
The project is focusing on sustainability as the students are being shown how to re-use old pieces of material. They are also being introduced to a craft that is sadly dying out with the pressure of fast fashion that caters for convenience but is having a negative impact on the environment.
Under the guidance of qualified teachers, the students in both centres are exploring different textiles, experimenting fabric manipulation, and creating different ways how to create a new object from the primary material. From joining panels to mastering the sewing machine, and sewing on buttons, they're gaining valuable skills that will last a lifetimClifton GrimaGriPamela SchembriemMichael Bondinondin

𝐇𝐒𝐁𝐂 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚 has been a partner with FES in delivering a drama project in the Klabb 3-16 centres, since the start of the scholastic year. This term, the drama sessions are being delivered at 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐛 𝟑-𝟏𝟔 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐦.
The tutor, Mr Josue Formosa, is engaging with the students to help them discover their innate power of communication through voice and body movements. Drama is a powerful medium that helps students develop confidence, tolerance, and empathy. They will learn skills to project their character’s traits, to help the audience understand how the world looks through another person's eyes. Through fun exercises and engaging activities, they're learning how to express themselves creatively and confidently.
